| Defeating Moroes will unlock a door that leads from the Broken Stair, where players entered the dungeon, out onto the Master's Terrace. This door grants players access to the staircase from the Master's Terrace into the Upper Livery Stables, which is a significant shortcut for returning from wipes on Attumen.
Notable Trash Mobs
Run away with Burning Brand The Upper Livery Stables are populated primarily with Призрачный работник and Призрачный подмастерье mobs.- Spectral Apprentices will frequently cast Горящее клеймо on random non-tank targets
- This ability can stack if multiple Apprentices target the same player
- Горящее клеймо is a light to moderate DoT that lasts for 6 seconds
- When it expires, players within 8 yards of the target will take heavy Fire damage
- The DoT and detonation damage both increase with each stack of Горящее клеймо on the player
- The affected player does not take any detonation damage
- The party should stay spread out more than 8 yards apart to manage Горящее клеймо damage
- Spectral Journeyman adds will cast Мощный удар at the tank, dealing moderate to heavy damage to all players within 4 yards, and knocking them back
- If players are properly spread out for Горящее клеймо, Мощный удар should only ever threaten the tank, and the tank should step out of the area of effect
In these packs, kill the Apprentices first, and make sure never to stand in front of the Journeyman adds.
Spectral Chargers' Charge is mostly a nuisance
On the Lower Livery Stables level, players will encounter Призрачный коньs and their Призрачный помощник смотрителя стойлs.
Attumen Tips & Strategy
The Ловчий Аттумен encounter has two phases: a mounted phase, where Attumen rides his steed, Полночь; and a dismounted phase, which occurs when Midnight reaches 50% health. During the dismounted phase, Midnight will slowly regain her health, and when she reaches full health, Attumen will leap onto her back, resetting the fight to the first phase.
This is a single-target fight, as Attumen is not attackable during Phase 1 and Midnight is not attackable during Phase 2. The encounter requires moderate movement and good awareness.
Note that only the damage on Attumen really matters; Midnight heals back to full each time the party pushes the fight to Phase 2. Players should save their most powerful cooldowns for the Attumen phases.
Phase 1: Horse and Rider as One
The encounter begins with Attumen riding atop Midnight. Players will attack Midnight, but both Midnight and Attumen will attack players.
Examples of the Intangible Presence mechanic
Every 30 seconds during this phase, Attumen will cast Незримое присутствие on the party.- This ability applies the magic Незримое присутствие debuff to every player, dealing moderate DoT damage
- However, only one player is affected by the "true" debuff, and dispelling that player's debuff will remove the debuff from all players
- Dispelling the wrong player will not remove the debuff, and will cause extremely heavy backlash damage to the entire party
- The "true" debuff can be identified by locating the player whose character model has a ghostly presence attached to it
- This appears as a transparent, shimmering figure superimposed over the player's model (see screenshots)
- All players should look at their model to help the healer identify who has been truly debuffed
- The healer should then dispel that target, and only that target - do not dispel randomly!
- Never use Массовое рассеивание for this ability, as it may trigger multiple backlash events
- After dispelling, the healer should use strong AoE healing to top the party back off
Midnight will also use the Могучий топот ability, dealing heavy Fire damage to all players within 30 yards, and interrupting any spells being cast. Ranged DPS and healers should stand at max range to avoid these effects.
Attumen will attack the tank with Удар всадника, and commands Midnight to attack the tank with Удар копытами, both of which deal frequent tank damage.
When Midnight reaches 50% health, Attumen will leap down from the saddle and interact directly with the party.
Phase 2: Fighting on Foot
During this phase, players attack Attumen directly. Unlike Midnight, Attumen's health will not replenish during his 'off' phase, and the encounter can only end if players kill Attumen. The party should use its major DPS cooldowns here to burst Attumen down and end the fight in as few Phase 2 repeats as possible.
Midnight always aims Mezair at Attumen Although Midnight is not attackable, she will continue to attack the party with Мезэр, a cone-shaped charge attack.- Midnight will run to a random point at the edge of the arena and face Attumen
- She will then cast Мезэр, rearing up and preparing to charge, and drawing a cone-shaped telegraph on the floor
- When the cast finishes, Midnight will charge through Attumen's position to the other side of the room
- Any player standing in the Мезэр telegraph will take moderate damage as Midnight charges through them
- The party should side-step out of Мезэр if it overlaps their current position
- The tank should side-step out of Мезэр if convenient, but be mindful of Attumen's position-based mechanics
Aim Attumen away from the party for Mortal strike
And toward the party for Shared Suffering While dismounted, Attumen will attack the tank with Смертельный удар, typically twice per phase.- Смертельный удар deals; moderate damage and reduces the maximum health of all players it strikes by 50% for 10 seconds
- This cone is relatively short-range and must be aimed away from the party
- The tank cannot dodge this effect
Shortly after the first Смертельный удар cast, Attumen will attack with Разделенные муки, another cone attack.- Разделенные муки deals an extremely large amount of damage, split evenly between all players in its area of effect
- This must be shared by the entire party to avoid anyone dying
- The damage is so extreme that any non-tanks with the Смертельный удар debuff are assured to die
- The tank should use a defensive cooldown for Разделенные муки
- Разделенные муки is cast only once per phase
- If players fail to soak the cast properly, it will usually cause a wipe
The recommended strategy for dealing with these three mechanics is to mark a position in the room where the party will stack for Разделенные муки.- The tank should tank Attumen fairly close to this position, but to the side of it, so that Мезэр will often bypass the party's stack point
- When Attumen casts Смертельный удар, be sure to face Attumen away from the party's stack point
- As Attumen begins to cast Разделенные муки, move him to the party's stack point and make sure he is facing the whole party
- Melee DPS should follow Attumen and beat him to the stack point so they are sure to be struck by Разделенные муки
- Since there is little other party damage during this phase, the healer should focus on topping the tank up after Разделенные муки, and efficiently heal the party
While Midnight is Неоседланная, she will regenerate 2% of her health every second. When Midnight reaches full health, Attumen will leap back into the saddle and re-enter Phase 1. This takes 25 seconds.
Dodge Spectral Charge In all future mounted phases, Midnight gains a new ability, Призрачный рывок.- This cast summons an army of ghostly horses that marches across the encounter area
- If a player is struck by a horse during Призрачный рывок, it will deal extremely heavy damage
- To avoid this, players should watch for oncoming horses, side-step them, and then move behind them
- The first time Midnight uses this ability, it will create three waves of Призрачный рывок horses
- Subsequent uses will form only one wave
- Healers may wish to preemptively use raid CDs during Призрачный рывок, especially if it occurs during Незримое присутствие
This cycle repeats until Attumen the Huntsman is slain. When this happens, Midnight will Исступление, taking and dealing 100% more damage. During this brief final phase of the fight, Midnight will only use the Могучий топот ability.
Tank Responsibilities:- During Phase 1:
- Whenever Незримое присутствие is cast, check to see if you have the ghostly apparition attached to your character model, and tell your healer if so
- Move out of Призрачный рывок
- During Phase 2:
- Tank Attumen near, but not on, the party's stack point
- Step out of Мезэр if possible
- Face Attumen away from the party for Смертельный удар
- Drag Attumen to the stack point and face him toward the party when he begins casting Разделенные муки
- Usually the pattern in Phase 2 is Смертельный удар - Разделенные муки - Смертельный удар
- On occasion, it can be Смертельный удар - Смертельный удар - Разделенные муки
- Always watch to make sure you are responding to the correct cast!
- Use a defensive cooldown for each Разделенные муки
Damage-Dealer Responsibilities:
Stop casting for Mighty Stomp
- Save DPS cooldowns for the Attumen phase, since Midnight will regenerate her health anyway
- During Phase 1:
- Whenever Незримое присутствие is cast, check to see if you have the ghostly apparition attached to your character model, and tell your healer if so
- Caster DPS should stop casting as Могучий топот is about to complete, to avoid being interrupted
- Move out of Призрачный рывок, and duck behind the horses that have just passed to minimize movement
- During Phase 2:
- Use DPS cooldowns here to take a bigger chunk out of Attumen's health pool
- Ranged DPS should stack up on the pre-assigned stack point
- Side-step out of Мезэр
- Avoid being in front of Attumen when Смертельный удар is being cast
- Melee DPS must stack on the stack point with ranged DPS for Разделенные муки, even if it means being in front of the boss for a few seconds
- Use defensive CDs for Разделенные муки damage, especially if you have accidentally gained the Смертельный удар debuff
Healer Responsibilities:
Prepare to dispel the real target of Intangible Presence
- During Phase 1:
- When Attumen casts Незримое присутствие, inspect each player and identify the correct target, then dispel only that player
- Use a raid CD during or after the Незримое присутствие to recover from the party-wide damage
- Top players up to at least half health before Могучий топот
- During Phase 2:
- Tank damage is high and will require most of the healing focus, especially while the tank is debuffed by Смертельный удар
- Stack up at the pre-assigned stack point
- Be sure to top injured players off before Разделенные муки
- If available, use a party-wide damage reduction CD for Разделенные муки
- Protect any non-tank players who have the Смертельный удар debuff during the Разделенные муки cast with any single-target damage-reduction CDs you have
- After Разделенные муки, there is very little party damage, so you have time to efficiently heal the party back up
- Side-step out of Мезэр
